By 2025, almost half of the world’s stored data could reside in the public cloud.  By the same year, it’s estimated that over 463 exabytes of data will be created every day.  The explosion of data growth and data gravity raises security concerns and can expose points of vulnerability. A proactive cybersecurity strategy has become an essential part of distributed IT environments that comprise on-premise and cloud-based workflows, applications and systems.

In addition, global cybercrime costs are expected to reach over $10 trillion annually by 2025.  Persistent cyber threats further elevate the importance of a hardened security posture. Especially since enterprises are fast becoming the world’s data steward. By 2025, 80% of data worldwide will reside in enterprises. This will continue to increase the volume of data that needs to be aggregated and stored. A pervasive data-centric IT architecture that securely optimizes data exchange and enables connected data communities has become mission critical. This allows for integration between core, cloud and edge through cyber resilient centers of data exchange.

A data-centric, risk-based hybrid IT security posture also needs to be adaptable and ever-evolving for business continuity – to strengthen incident prevention, initiate early detection and expedite the response to attacks.

In this session, you’ll learn about:

• The rapid growth of data globally and data gravity intensity
• The increasing cyber threat activity due to exponential data growth
• The importance of proactive cybersecurity within a data-centric hybrid IT architecture
• The benefits of taking a connected data community approach
