Brandon Daab is an Information Security Analyst and Foundation Finance Company (FFC), a finance company specializing in helping contractors procure financing for home improvement projects. Brandon has helped champion the helpdesk and Cybersecurity programs at FFC. Brandon holds a M.S. focused in Cybersecurity from Southern New Hampshire University.

Marc’s focus on performance and cost optimization of technical solutions has fostered his success with excellent communication, relationships, and sales execution to support clients’ needs.

Dan Krueger, Director of Cybersecurity & BISO, Elevance Health (formerly Anthem)

 

Dan has been a Senior Technical Leader in Enterprise IT Cybersecurity and Infrastructure for the past 25 years working in Healthcare, Retail, e-Commerce, Supply Chain, Telecom, and Financial Services organizations.

 

Dan currently has responsibilities within Enterprise Security Architecture, Engineering, and Operations, including Vulnerability Mgt, Cloud Security, Threat Intelligence, Data Protection, EDR/MDR, and GRC. Dan has presented at a number of Cybersecurity & IT Conferences and CISO events. Dan and his wife Jelia have three children and three grandchildren all living in the Philippines. Dan is an Illinois High School Softball and Volleyball official for the past 38 years and is an IHSA Softball Clinician and State Rules Interpreter.

Derek Milroy, Information Security, U.S. Cellular

 

Derek has been implementing security in corporate environments, as both an internal employee and a consultant, for five years. Although he has implemented firewalls, IDSs, and VPNs for various employers and clients he focuses heavily on securing Microsoft hosts and Domain structures. He has hardened hundreds of hosts in environments ranging from less than a dozen servers to enterprise environments with over 1000 servers and thousands of users. In conjunction with hardening he has also crafted and implemented standards, policies, and procedures to maintain the security of his employer’s / client’s environments.

Josh Sims, Information Security Manager, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education

 

Mr. Joshua Sims is currently an information security manager at ACGME where he oversees the cybersecurity strategies for the organization. He has a wide range of experience starting in the United States Air Force and then working for both the Defense Health Agency and the Defense Logistics Agency. During his time with DLA and DHA, he led efforts to strengthen cyber security principles and the development of a security operations center at both agencies. He has held a wide variety of positions ranging from network engineering, help desk logistics and Cybersecurity leadership, Incident Response management, Policy, and Implementation engineer, and finally as a cybersecurity leader within ACGME. His diverse background has allowed him to be a key stakeholder during many security assessments and auditing engagements. By providing his expertise and knowledge he has led a variety of teams to achieve near perfect scores on previous cybersecurity assessments for the Department of Defense. He is currently a student at Capella University where he will obtain his doctorate in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity. He currently holds a variety of certifications including CISSP, CEH and is a recent FedHealth IT Innovation award winner.

Brad is a 3x Microsoft Most Valuable Professional with over 11 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. Brad has shared his expertise and insights at some of the most prestigious events in the industry, including the Global PowerShell Summit, various Microsoft events, and multiple PowerShell meetups nationwide. Brad has a passion for knowledge sharing and is a co-organizer of Chicago PowerShell group, the Chicago PowerShell conference, and the PowerShell + DevOps Global Summit. Over the course of his career, he has migrated many companies, large and small, to the public cloud, performed thorough infrastructure audits and recommendations, implemented custom automations and efficiencies, and scoped projects based on client need for sustained future growth.

Zachary Voss, Information Systems Security Engineer, Lucas-Milhaupt Inc.

 

Zach has worked in the Information Technology field for 11 years implementing and supporting new security standards across Healthcare, Education, and primarily Manufacturing. Finding ways to get systems as secure as possible in less-than-ideal situations. Crossing the gaps between what is wanted and what is needed, while finding the perfect middle ground to meet tight budget constraints. Building diamonds out of dirt to secure global enterprises with a small-town mindset. 

 

Ron Zochalski, CTO & CISO, Lake County, Indiana Government 

 

CTO & CISO for Lake County Government – Superior Courts Juvenile Division on the zero trust journey to protect data, assets and buildings for current and emerging security threats. I have the ability to break down the financial and technical risks and issues to both technical and the non-technical professionals including the boardroom and get buy in. This is not an easy task.

 

Ron also has spent the last 12 years teaching at Indiana University Northwest teaching students to understand and use various technologies, Personal Finance and Business Administration.

 

Ron’s 20+ year journey started in Financial Services then to Automotive, Newspaper/Media, ECommerce, Supply Chain, Mobile and currently Government and Courts. It’s always the questions you don’t know to ask are the ones that give you an issue.
